Take the next step in your career with the Product Masterclass — the 8-week program that turns you into an AI-native product manager.
From AI for a few tasks to automation across his whole product team.
Christian Fischer leads digital product at Bikeleasing. He came to Product Masterclass having barely used AI in his work. Eight weeks later he runs a business steering prototype, a personal planning agent, and a product team that now designs every initiative with automation in mind.
Christian Fischer leads digital product at Bikeleasing. He came to Product Masterclass having used AI only for a few isolated tasks. Eight weeks later he runs a business steering prototype, a personal planning agent, and a product team that now designs every initiative with automation in mind.
Christian Fischer is Head of Digital Product Management at Bikeleasing, where he is scaling the product organization. Bikeleasing runs the company bike leasing most German companies know, and is now building a broader benefits platform after acquiring Probonio. Christian has spent close to ten years in product, with earlier stops at roadsurfer and CHECK24.
When he joined Product Masterclass, his hands on experience with AI in product work was thin.
“My experience working with AI in product was really at the beginning. Of course I use different LLM tools like Gemini or ChatGPT, and we just introduced Langdock in our company. But I had never created an agent before, or used something like Lovable for prototyping.”
What he built
Two things came out of the program that he still uses every week.
A business steering prototype.
The business steering prototype
“One prototype I created with Lovable, because right now we are also focusing on business steering. Which KPIs we would like to measure for product success, how we visualize our value streams, our domains, how we split our product department. I use it for the interaction with the data team and with my stakeholders. This is our aim, how we steer our business in the future. And I still use it, minimum on a weekly base.”
A personal planning agent.
His daily planning agent
“The second thing is an agent I created within Langdock. My personal agent, conducting my personal tasks, aligning them with my personal goals, but also with company goals. It takes a look at my Outlook calendar, and it makes sure I have enough focus time for the big strategic pillars, because 20 or 30 minutes a day is not enough. It makes sure I not only work on the small things, the quick fixes or quick wins, but also on the strategic pillar.”

Ask Christian what changed, and the answer is not a specific tool. It is what he now believes is possible.
“I have a way clearer picture of what is currently possible with the help of AI, or in our case with Langdock.”
That clarity is what turned a personal experiment into a team one. Bikeleasing was already rethinking how product works, and Christian brought a new question to every part of it: where can AI carry the load?
“How should a stakeholder report his or her problem statement, their wishes towards product? So now we think about a process. What do we need from a stakeholder, what is a red flag we don't want in place, how we communicate with the stakeholder. And then, in a second step, there are a lot of opportunities. How can we automate that, how can we make sure such requests are aligned with the company strategy. We now identify owners for each initiative, and the task of each owner is not only to think about the process, but also how we can enable it with the help of AI.”
A change in the mindset
“In every initiative, we now think about how we can automate it. And this is really a change in the mindset.”
Fix the problem first, then automate
Christian is clear about the order of operations. The technology comes second.
Shit in, shit out
“That's what I also liked about the Product Masterclass: you really made sure that if it's shit in, then it's also shit out. Not starting with the AI and making it golden and fancy, but really thinking about what we have to fix or change within our structure, organization or process. Once that is clear, you can automate, then you can think about how to enable it.”
What he'd tell another product leader
“Think first about how product in your company should work, which initiative you would like to follow, and then play around with your internal tools to see how you can automate. Have the goal in mind, how the process should look, how the organization should look, and then make it golden and shiny with the help of automation.”
